Chery New Energy Accelerates Global Layout! 220 eQ7 Will Be Launched in UZ
█ 2023/09/04Introduction: It was recently learned that 220 Chery's New Energy BEV eQ7 will be shipped to Uzbekistan. The eQ7 will be launched globally simultaneously. This means that Chery Automobile's new energy strategy is accelerating again in Central Asia. And it will also add another main force to the global market layout.
It is known that Chery Automobile has reached a cooperation agreement with one of the largest car dealers in Uzbekistan to sell Chery New Energy vehicles. The first batch of export models is the BEV eQ7, which has just been pre-sold in China. Currently, 220 vehicles have rolled off the production line and are expected to be shipped in the near future.
As the largest auto market in Central Asia, Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as UZ) has always attracted the attention of global automakers.
In recent years, the UZ government has actively promoted the electric transformation of vehicles through tax and fee reductions. Also it has supported infrastructure construction.
Local EV sales in 2022 was 6,000 units, with Chinese imports accounting for 32.3%. As of May this year, EV sales have reached 4,000 units, and China's imports accounted for 62%. The share of China's new energy vehicles in the local market has been increasing year by year.
As the world's leading new energy vehicle company, Chery New Energy relied on the country's "Belt and Road" strategy to advance. Chery visited and investigated the UZ market many times, and finally reached a cooperation agreement after several rounds of investment negotiations.
Now, Chery will launch its latest model eQ7 into the UZ market, launching it simultaneously with the domestic market.
In choosing eQ7 as the first model in UZ, Chery New Energy fully considered the local market demand and product matching. Thanks to the excellent passability, large space, and compatibility with more types of travel needs, SUVs have become one of the most popular models in Central Asia.
The Chery eQ7 is just such a pure electric SUV for home use. Also, Chery New Energy also customized the UZ version of the eQ7 based on the car habits of UZ users.
First of all, the language of the eQ7 car system has been upgraded. Secondly, in order to adapt to the rugged road surface of UZ, the eQ7 tire size is increased to 20 inches, which can effectively improve the vehicle's off-road performance.
In addition, the eQ7's standard all-aluminum body and rear-mounted rear-drive power layout reduce the weight of the vehicle while increasing power output, allowing the driving top speed to reach 180km/h. Although it is positioned for home use, it still allows users to experience extremely high driving pleasure.
The detailed adjustments of the eQ7 UZ version not only ensure the rapid mass production of the vehicle, but also meet the needs of users in the market. It is for these reasons that the local car dealers have doubled their confidence. Before the vehicle officially launched in UZ, a large number of orders were completed.
In early August, the Chery eQ7 had just started pre-sales in China. It attracted a lot of attention due to the rising order volume, and the popularity continued to rise.
This simultaneous batch launch for overseas markets also further confirms the confidence of global consumers in eQ7, as well as Chery’s great emphasis on the development of new energy overseas markets.
So, it is expected that eQ7 can help accelerate Chery New Energy's overseas expansion and further promote China's new energy global layout.
